Updates for April 20, 2020
Ontario:
- The governments of Canada and Ontario are investing up to $1 million in new funding to connect workers with in-demand jobs in the agri-food sector
- Through the Canadian Agricultural Partnership, the federal and provincial governments will provide support that will help people connect with job opportunities in the sector quickly
Manitoba:
- Manitoba is urgently seeking the following items:
- nitrile gloves
- vinyl gloves
- N95 masks
- testing swabs
Saskatchewan:
- The province announced the AgriStability enrollment deadline for the 2020 program year has been extended without penalty to July 3, 2020
- AgriStability is a low-cost risk management program offering financial assistance to producers who experience large margin declines due to any combination of production loss, adverse market conditions or increased costs
- To assist with cash flow and financial stability, participants in the AgriStability Program can apply for an interim benefit
