Federal Government:

• The Poultry and Egg On-Farm Investment Program (PEFIP) is now accepting applications.
• The PEFIP will provide almost $647 million over ten years to support poultry and egg producers through on-farm investments. Each producer is entitled to an amount proportional to their quota holdings as of January 1, 2021. Applications will be accepted until March 31, 2030.

New Brunswick:

• The Explore NB Travel Incentive program will be extended to visitors from the Atlantic provinces when the reopening of the provincial borders allows.
• The Explore NB Travel Incentive program provides a 20 per cent rebate on eligible expenses of up to $1,000 that are made while making an overnight stay in New Brunswick. 
• Travel can take place between May 27 and October 31, 2021. 
• Applications will be open from July 5 to November 30, 2021.

Quebec:

• Under a new initiative, temporary foreign workers will be offered a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine upon their arrival at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport, and will then be offered a second dose in their host region later this summer.
• Currently, only temporary foreign workers arriving on chartered flights are targeted by this initiative.
• Thirteen flights are expected in June, and about 2,275 temporary foreign workers will have the opportunity to be vaccinated.

Ontario:

• FedDev Ontario announced a non-repayable investment of $1 million to support the tourism industry’s recovery in Ontario’s Highlands.
• The Ontario’s Highlands Tourism Organization (RTO-11) is using this investment to provide tourism-dependent businesses with up to $20,000 in non-repayable contributions to support costs associated with adapting and eventually reopening.

British Columbia:

• The provincial government will keep the Small and Medium Sized Business Recovery Grant operating until the expected start of Step 3 of B.C.’s Restart plan on July 1, 2021.
• As of June 3, 2021, more than 10,000 grants have been awarded to B.C. businesses. Grants of $10,000 to a maximum of $30,000 are available with up to an additional $5,000 to $15,000 available to tourism-related businesses.
